Do you know how many breaths there are per minute? Your breathing pattern is designed primarily by your rate of breathing, meaning how fast or how slow you breathe. Simply changing the breathing rate, you can effectively transform your mood and your nervous system response in a matter of minutes.
My name is Monique, and I have practiced yoga since 2010. Beside being the breath coach, I am also a yoga teacher and Reiki Master practitioner.
I have always wanted to understand more in-depth the function and underlying power of breath, the link between breath and health benefits. To deepen my practice, I have explored, attended workshops, and taken other courses such as Reiki, Qigong, Taichi, Wind Energy (Tibetan yoga breath), Flexology, Ayurveda ( India Traditional Medicine), Mindfulness Training and Meditation. From all these great practices, I learned that the most vital basic foundation is breathing with mindfulness. Mindful breathing connects mind, body, and spirit as one, which brings you peace and ultimate health.
In my practice and teaching, I focus on the yoga breathing, which has been practiced for thousands of years. With today’s modern approach, it is simple, science-based, and a safe and fast way to relieve stress, boost digestion, balance your energy, improve mental focus, and sleep. My goal is to share what I have learned and to help others with health challenges. The practice consists of simple, yet effective everyday easy exercises, to help you obtain better health and happiness.
